Modern & Safe
School Facilities
Claire Junior School provides well-maintained, purpose-built facilities designed to create a safe, stimulating, and comfortable environment for learning and development. Our facilities continue to be upgraded to meet the needs of a growing school community.
Classrooms
- Spacious, well-ventilated, and adequately lit classrooms for every class from Nursery to P.7
- Each classroom is furnished with pupil desks, teacher's desk, and a chalkboard / whiteboard
- Display boards in every classroom for pupil work and learning aids
- Regular maintenance ensures a clean and conducive learning space
Library
- A stocked school library with a wide range of textbooks, reference materials, and reading books
- Quiet reading space to encourage a culture of independent learning
- Library accessible to pupils during break, lunch, and afternoon reading periods
- Library resources aligned to the NCDC curriculum and the UNEB examination requirements
Dining Facilities
- A school dining hall accommodating all boarding pupils for three daily meals
- Nutritious and balanced meals prepared by qualified kitchen staff
- Meals include breakfast, lunch, and supper for boarders; lunch option available for day scholars
- Kitchen and dining areas subject to regular health and hygiene inspections
Dormitories (Boarding Facilities)
- Separate and well-maintained dormitories for boys and girls
- Each dormitory has adequate beds, mattresses, storage lockers for personal items
- 24-hour supervision by resident matrons / house parents
- Regular cleaning and hygiene inspections
- Secure and lockable dormitory blocks
Security & Safety Arrangements
- The school compound is fully enclosed with a perimeter wall/fence and controlled gate
- Security guards on duty during school hours and overnight for boarding pupils
- Strict visitor sign-in policy, all visitors must report to the administration office
- CCTV cameras installed in key areas of the school (where applicable)
- Emergency contact procedures in place for parents and local authorities
- Regular fire drills and safety awareness sessions for pupils and staff
Computer Laboratory
- A dedicated computer laboratory equipped with functional desktop computers
- Supervised ICT sessions for upper primary pupils (P.4 – P.7)
- Pupils are introduced to basic computer skills: typing, Microsoft Office, and internet safety
- The lab serves as a resource centre for research-based learning
Playgrounds & Sports Facilities
- Dedicated playground areas for Nursery and lower primary pupils
- Football pitch for inter-class and inter-school matches
- Basketball court for recreational and competitive play
- Open grounds for athletics training and Physical Education sessions
- Equipment store with sports gear maintained by PE staff
School Transport Services
Claire Junior School provides transport services to and from selected routes in the surrounding areas, subject to availability and route scheduling.
- School bus/van available for pupils from designated pick-up points
- Drivers are vetted, experienced, and licensed
- Pupils in transit are supervised by a school-appointed conductor/attendant
- Transport fees are charged separately — see Fees Structure page
